It was like I ran away with the circus for a Halloween night of entertainment. There were two magicians, musicians and me.
Fun hosted by The Kong Show and my good friends Chuck E. Baby & Miz E.

Look for The Kong Show on Queens Public Access TV in the new year.
We'll be there.

October 19th at the Peoples' Voice Cafe in New York City I shared the stage with two awesome performers, Jan Luby and Ilene Weiss. Here are some videos from that terrific evening of fun and creativity.

"I Am Selling Off My Body When I Die!"
featuring Joel, and The Great Dancer, Faith!
"If You Know an Oxymoron, Shout It Out!"
with John, Elizabeth, Jan, Ilene, Joel and featuring the English Language!
"Watching Too Much Fox TV"   and having a Tea Party

"By Any Means"   Mitch McConnell sings his way into your heart,

It was fun appearing at this year's Workmen's Circle Madison Avenue Social Justice Street Fair as
Joel Landy and Friends. My friends were and will always be Steve Suffet, Anne Price and Toby Fagenson. We focused on labor songs and other songs that celebrate the dignity of human struggle.

I recorded our set and you can watch it here.

If you don't know about The Workmen's Circle / Arbeter Ring, it is an organization based in New York City that has been doing good work since 1900.
You can find out more here.

Joel Landy and Bob Fass

The evening was fun and full of surprises and raised money for listener supported WBAI radio, Pacifica broadcasting in New York City.

Thank you to the Earth Mum for her "soul work" in putting this evening of entertainment together. Thanks also to All Souls Church for hosting the event, and all the artists who gave their talent, time and energy.

Special thanks to the audience who paid to attend and whose commitment to listener supported radio makes it possible.

I appeared on "Radio Unnameable", FM raido icon Bob Fass's show to promote this fundraising event. Here are some audio links from Bob's July 19 show.

People's Music Network Benefit
at the People's Voice Cafe

It was a terrific show that raised more than five hundred dollars for The People's Music Network.
For those not familiar with The People's Music Network, it is an organization of activists and artists using their work to promote social justice and the dignity of human struggle. It was this model of artists in action that was the inspiration for Songs of Freedom Television. The evening featured an extraordinary lineup, including Wool & Grant, Hudson Valley Sally, Rick and Andy, and Joel Landy.
